Poorly babe. She's been hovering around a 38.5 temp since Friday night. I've been using Panadol and lukewarm baths to bring it down but it seems to be hanging around. Apart from the temperature she seems okay... no runny nose or cough. No toothies seem to be coming through but maybe they're just moving around. I dip my fingers in icy water and let her munch away on them which seems to give her some relief. My heart breaks for her but she is handling it so well - I can see how awful she's feeling but she hasn't been unsettled or crying, just very quiet. Not herself. Her usual smiley eyes are sad. And so am I.

...if there's no improvement tomorrow, I think A trip to the Doc is in order.

  1. Poor little poppet she looks very quiet there. I hope that she has a good nights sleep and is feeling better in the morning. It's hard to see you little one unwell. xo

  2. Oh no! Her little face looks so different. I hope that she will get better very very very soon!

I know that my baby will eventually be sick (have temperature and everything) and I know that I will be devastated.

  5. Oh no, the poor lovely! I've discovered the best way to get Olive better is to book a doctors appointment - without fail, she always improves before the appointment rolls around so in the end I cancel. There's this great elixir kind of thing you can get for kids based on an olive leaf extract - it's worked really well on mild fevers Olive's had. Hope Lalie's ok! Kellie xx

  6. Thanks for your well wishes! She seems much happier today and the temp has gone... but now she has a slight rash which I have my eye on. Made a Doc appt for 9am in the morning... I'm sure it's nothing but we'll check her out anyway... xx

  7. All three of my kiddos have gotten something like that when they were little. A fever for a few days and then a rash after. I think it's pretty common but it's always unnerving watching your little ones get sick. I hope she feels better soon.

  8. a baby with a fever makes time stand still. You'll probably notice that when she recovers she will have a heightened sense of awareness and will seem that bit older - I've always had this experience with Che. x
