We haven't got any plans this weekend, which is fine by me because I cleaned the house yesterday and celebrated this biannual event by spending almost $50 on seven individual flowers. There's nothing better than staying home in a clean house with pretty blooms to look at. Even if it means beans on toast around this table for lunch because the food budget has been blown on flora.

The only thing spoiling this deceivingly tranquil setting is the persistent humming of the 'V8 Supercars' that are in town this weekend. Yes, this town has been counting down the days (literally, in the local paper) to this annual attraction abomination. I can't think of anything worse.

Have a lovely V8 free weekend!

  8. Hello, I found your blog through a comment you left at Belle & Boo and I've enjoyed reading some of your previous posts and admiring your pictures.

What a lovely little girl Eulalie is.

And on the current topic: flowers do bring some extra 'life' into the house.
