It was a hot weekend. She was happiest bare-bummed, splashing about and talking to the dogs... ...until she wasn't and I had to improvise. Did you know junk-mail actually does serve a purpose? Speaking of junk, most of the weekend was spent both eating it and reading it. My interior magazine addiction has reached an all time high. Paddy picked this Living Etc up off the breakfast bench and casually (and in all seriousness) asked "Is this today's?" ...as if it were the daily newspaper... ...and speaking of daily - check out Paddy's 'catch of the day'! He scored a free ticket on a chartered reef fishing trip and came home with coral trout! Straight from the Great Barrier Reef and onto our hot barbeque plate. Is there anything better than fresh fish? I don't think so... (except perhaps almond croissants).

Pssst... don't miss out on the giveaway - winner will be announced tomorrow afternoon!

  4. wow, the color of that coral trout is brilliant! so different than the trout we have here in the u.s. ours is gray/brown with a rainbow stripe through the side. looks like a great meal. we just learned we are having a baby boy but i think i just may enter the giveaway for my niece who is due to come 4 weeks prior to our little guy.

  6. So much colour Claire. I think we'll have to invest in a splash pool for the balcony this summer - better than the tourist-swamped beach x

  8. What a fabulous catch! Whenever my husband goes on a charter boat he only manages to bring home a bit of sunburn.

Can't wait to get Cohen's blow out pool out this summer as well. Such fun... I hope I will still fit in there too. :)

  9. Yummy catch alright!! My dad dives and fishes and it has to be one of the main things I miss...fresh seafood.

It's amazing what entertains little one's isn't it? Mine were always far more amused by paper, boxes and the plastics cupboard.

Looks like an alround lovely weekend Claire :)
