Some evenings, when there's just the right amount of cloud, the sky explodes with coloured light. On this particular day, I managed to capture it filtering through coloured glass and dancing around the house.

Happy Friday - I hope your weekend is a wonderful one!

  2. That is some explosion of coloured light Claire, absolutely breathtaking shots. Such a warm, almost mystical quality about them. It is something I miss about our place, the beautiful light refraction in the evenings. We're in a terrace, with no windows on the walls along both sides. But our bathroom at the back of the house does receive some brilliant afternoon light in summer time. I'm looking forward to those days in the coming months :o) xo

  13. Gorgeous light. And I of course love the raindrops! Just seen Eulalie’s room on the Babiekins blog too. Knew it would be popular (I emailed the Ohdeedoh people with a link when you first posted), but I think they probably found you anyway as lots of people have ‘pinned’ too! Have a fab weekend x

  15. How lovely that you kept those beautiful blooms. You know, the ones you spent your lunch money on, the long skinny ones with the puffy bit at the top. Kellie xx

  17. What lovely photos you have taken at such a beautiful time of day! I just stumbled on your space here and have found it such a delight reading and viewing your gorgeous photos. Am also a NQ girl, now living in Sydney so am feeling a little homesick at the moment. Thanks for bringing some sunshine to my day!

  20. just found your beautiful blog via the amazing nursery post on ohdeedoh... and i have to say, i am smitten!... not just by the nursery, which is so incredibly charming, but by your blog, too.

i just happened upon the nursery post, and i was delighted, as i did something similar over my son's crib when he was born last june... it's still up, but i don't think i can keep it up there for long, as he is now learning to sit up and pull himself up, and i am afraid he will grab the netting/tent and pull it down.

anyway, LOVE your blog and style and photos and writing.
