b: bohemian goofy

Most of my weekend was spent trying to decide if this is a look Eulalie could should pull off in downtown Townsville.

I usually find the embellishment of babies' heads rather offensive (think enormous flowers attached to a stretchy band of sequins)... so have I completely lost my mind? Has the stylist made the ultimate infant-fashion-faux-pas... or is this kinda cute?

Something tells me this lady might approve.

  1. She looks so grown up and very very cute. I think she can get away with this for sure, much much more stylish than those headbands for babies I never did like them much. xo

  2. Well she's definitely cute, there's no doubt about that. The only thing offensive about it is that she's looking more stylish at 10 months than I am at 33 years. Look out downtown Townsville...

  4. Bohemian babe, both a beauty and a-goofy.
Nup. I think this stylist is bang on trend with this hot little number. Lots of kiddies wear head scarves here in summer, I guess as a sun protection kind of thing. But looks really cute and retro I think. xx

Btw, did you know lalies room absolutely DOMINATES pinterest, & it's always titled 'bohemian nursery' etc.

  15. ooo i definitely approve! i am in complete agreement about the crazy flower headbands people are putting on their little girls. but this... this headwrap you have on your sweet little girl is absolutely precious.

  16. I know exactly what you mean about the giant flowers and sequins but this is just too cute. Although I may be no judge at the moment. I think if I had a little girl after two boys I would get carried away (a bit like some brides re: their wedding gowns where they lose all taste and end up meringue-ed and sparkled) and find myself popping all manner of embellishments on my child's head. But seriously, this is v cute. And not a sparkle in sight.

  19. Laile totally rocks that headscarf look Claire!

I have always worn scarves when having a bad hair day/can't be bothered doing my hair day and in her earlier days our girl did the same...pity she has grown up to have little sense of style. Enjoy while it lasts :)

  21. Gigantic flowers on small heads is my pet hate! But this is super duper cute. I love that little tongue in the second pic. Funny I did the same thing to Rosie with a scarf recently – she loved it! (Although it didn't stay on her head for very long).

Hope you had a snazzy weekend. x

  24. oh, you know i'm partial to a headscarf....but i know what you mean....it feels one step away from huge, fake flower. x

  25. I think this looks adorable! Not too flashy. I also hate those giant flowers that people strap onto little heads.

  31. Very cute! I definitely approve, as I wear a head scarf almost every day. But I never thought of trying one out on Everly (until now). Watch out, Everly, here I come! Mwahaha! x

  32. Such beautiful photos - and I agree - she can totally pull off the scarf, that is one cool baby you have there!

  33. Eulalie is ROCKING the scarf and it absolutely works. I saw so many babies'/children wearing head scarves in various ways (looking so cute) when we were in Botswana actually and commented to my Mum who reminded me that I was always in them as a child.
Anyway what works in Africa works in downtown Townsville I say!

we definitely approve of headscarves in our family aswell, my little one needs it just to keep the hair out of his eyes.
