expired

Expired petals scatter themselves over an expired issue of frankie, symbolic of the way I've been feeling these last couple of weeks. A little weary and past my used by date. Stagnant.

Perhaps it's just post-holiday blues. Or maybe it's Paddy working night-shift that has me all out of whack. It could be that I'm not fully recovered from the draining experience that is looking after a sick bub. I can't really pinpoint what it is exactly - I just feel a bit, well... off.

I have to say though, your kind words and votes really did cheer me up - thankyou!

I think today will be about throwing out vases of decaying blooms and decaying food in the fridge and replenishing with all things fresh. And sorting out clean laundry is just about as good a therapy as you'll get, right? I think that's a good start.

  8. Oh Claire I know that feeling so well. But I'm with Jodi, it's ebb and flow and it will change for you soon.

For me it helps to dip into my Power of Now book, try and focus on the present just be. Sometimes it works. I hope you feel better soon lady, laundry is good – but a pedi is better! xx

  9. The best kind of start. Sometimes we just feel a bit ordinary for no reason whatsoever. And that's okay. x

  10. You know I honestly believe it impacts me when I have piles of dirty washing, or old flowers lying around or piles of mess everywhere. Unfortunately, I let this happen too often and once I clear it all out, feel so much better. I hope your purge had the same calming effect. All of those other things you mention are completely valid reasons for feeling blah also xo

  13. I'm voting a very loooong, soothing bath over the cleaning out of the fridge. It's not like the mouldy stuff is going anywhere. Right? Well. Not for a wee while.

  17. Meh. I know that feeling too Claire. And sometimes we can't pinpoint where it all comes from. But it passes. Hope you feel back to your sweet, old self soon. xx I was going to suggest new hair but I'm a tad too late!

  19. Sucks when you feeling flat.
It is always hard being back after a great holiday. I also know how crap it is having a husband on nightshift.

And yes, being overloaded by housework can make me feel listless too. (Thats why I have a cleaning lady! haha)

    Also, swimming helps invigorate me.

Hope you get your mojo back soon
