Lalie's first proper haircut. Documenting the occasion turned out to be quite the struggle as this girl is becoming increasingly difficult to photograph. I did manage to get my 'smile' in the end, though. Win.
I'm still a little unsure... when it's straight down, she runs the risk of being mistaken for a little boy... so we're channeling a (very) young Mia Farrow and sweeping it to the side. It's back to little boy in about two and a half minutes, though. Lose.
P.S - Yes, she is completely drenched in water. Adamant on drinking out of cups (obviously not the 'sippy' variety).
Hi Claire, your blog is so beautiful. Lalie is a lucky girl to have such a treasure of memories being created for her. Jen
ReplyDeleteOh, I LOVE the third photo! xx
ReplyDeleteThat is the cutest thing ever. EVER. Kellie xx
ReplyDeletePS we're still waiting for the first hair cut milestone over here.
Cuteness. Love these little faces.
ReplyDeleteAila has still never had a proper haircut. Just tiny trims by me. Although i do threaten to cut it all off each morning when we have the battle with the hairbrush.

Oh I LOVE it. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen such stylish hair cut on a one-year-old. x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! My daughter is 4 years old and I'm very hesitant cutting her locks :) She still has her baby curls. I think I'll cry the moment it's cut! She's growing up more and more and I don't want to lose my baby...
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness, that is just so adorable. Love the 'smile'. We have the opposite problem here... Leo's golden curls make everyone think he's a girl. But I just can't bear to chop them off!
ReplyDeleteLove it. So stylish for a bub's cut
ReplyDeleteDont worry about looking a little boyish, kids are so androgynous these days
seriously cute ;) x
ReplyDeleteThose photos...especially the last one...are about the cutest things I ever did see!
ReplyDeleteI love the last photo - what a little sweetheart!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie!
ReplyDeleteEddie so needs his first hair cut and if I dare try and give him a sippy cup.. it goes flying.
xx
she is so so cute! love her hair cut
ReplyDeleteShe is definitely channeling a young Mia Farrow or even Twiggy too ; )
ReplyDeleteI love it. Stylish lil lady.
ReplyDeleteA simple little clip or flower will look so cute too.
She's adorable Claire.

Very stylish, there's no reason to worry about androgyny, she's gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI have VERY few shots of my eldest daughter between the ages of 2 & 4 as she was "not a photo taken girl" & it broke my heart. I had to take candid ones & pretend i was just fiddling with the flash or zoom, she never bought it, too clever, many tears. Now she's a teenager, it's difficult again, blah.
ReplyDeleteFirst hair cut is especially cute, love Posie
I adore that "wispy hair slowly turning into big girl hair" stage, She is divine! Wishing you a wonderful rest of your week :)
ReplyDeleteMy little miss three was born with a mass of hair, my little miss one is still growing into hers...slowly! Loving the wispy look :) You capture such stunning images x
ReplyDeleteHow lovely, I think it's so sweet when kids get their first haircut.
ReplyDeleteVery sweet Claire, love the Mia Farrow look. xx
ReplyDeleteSurely doesn't matter if she's mistaken for a boy? She's lovely whatever. Even without a smile. The candid ones are better anyway- more like life. Imperfect.
ReplyDeleteah, having the same struggle over here with a two.5 year old......
ReplyDeletegosh claire she is so cute. i do love the black and white photo. her linen dress is very sweet. our penny is 4 and still yet to have her hair cut. a little hard to know what to do with such long hair and ringlet ends. xo
