snow and the city


I'll always remember our first day in New York as the day that snowflakes danced outside the windows of a cozy Brooklyn apartment.

(As I type this, I hear snow ploughs clearing the blanket of snow from the street below...)

As we soak up the beauty of it all, our thoughts are with the hundreds of people in the surrounding regions who are without power and heating during this cold snap.

New York, I love you already.

  17. Oh wow! I've only ever seen snow once in my 32 years of being and it was pretty much man made. I've still yet to experience it falling from the sky... Beautiful.

    But so far I am loving Sydney too and am happy that there is no snow here right now.

    These two photos. The kind that hit me in the gut and make me long to BE there, right now. I just spent a week in New York about a month ago and the ache to go back just gets more intense with time.
