Lychees*, mangoes*, outdoor tub baths... the tropical North Queensland summer is well and truly here - and this is what ours looks like. What's summer like at your place?
* Straight from Nonno Sam's farm, the sweet juice still slightly warmed from the sun. The only way to eat them.
Gorgeous! Love that last shot! At our place we've been running under sprinklers, making ice-cream and wearing dresses that twirl when we dance xx
ReplyDeleteI bet that outdoor tub is your very best friend through summer :) summer at ours is water play - buckets and slip and slide - making fruit juice icypoles and afternoon movies in the aircon when the dry melbourne heat is just too hot! stunning images as always x
ReplyDeleteHere it's waiting for when the fan blasts past with a sweet little gust of breeze, wearing as little as possible, and sometimes staying too long at the shopping centre because their air conditioner is better than ours (which is not hard).
ReplyDeleteI do suspect that once the tap is connected in our kitchen Eve will spend time splashing in our sink, which looks pretty similar to the trough Lalie is in in your beautiful photos.
Magic My Bijou declared to all and sundry at the fruit shop the other day that lychees were in season when she spotted them! I couldn't have been prouder. And cooling off in the old concrete tub...just the best. Your photos are magnificent. Wishing you a beautiful (and hopefully cool) Friday :) x
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, I'd love an outdoor tub bath! Our summer, once school ends next week, will hopefully look like perfect lazy beach days. Our littlest guy is eating mango by the box full, skin and all! x
ReplyDeleteEulalie is looking like she had a blast in that tub!
ReplyDeleteLychees straight from the farm - wow! That last photo is beautiful. Kellie xx
ReplyDeleteI'm a Queenslander living in NSW, i have childhood photos of us in those concrete tubs and memories of warm mango's straight from the tree. Great pics.
ReplyDeleteOh Claire - you're making me oh so very homesick. There is nothing like a NQ chrissy!
ReplyDeletePure joy -- what a lovely summery series of photos.

Beautiful photos, Claire. You are making me hungry for mangoes! Summer is dry and hot here - I'm still coming up with ways to keep Everly happy indoors as she always wants to go 'outh-sidth'.
ReplyDeleteOh my, summer in your neck of the woods is just stunning. I LOVE lychees. Such a treat. And mangoes. Yum.
ReplyDeleteThe photo of Lalie in the tub is gorgeous.

Our summer is looking a bit overcast at the moment, but we've got high hopes for some sunshine soon! Love these shots :)

I was curious to know if your friend still sells those little camels? Also, where did you get your pillows? (Esp the ladybug one!) Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful family & home!
