Eulalie: My big girl is handling this huge adjustment period so well... but I know that she misses me. Sometimes it feels like there might not ever be enough 'me' to go around - for Paddy, the girls...and myself.

Marguerite: Window gazing in the early evening as the rain pitter-pattered down on the tin roof above.

  2. Been reading a bit in your blog right now, and understand you are living in Australia, if I am not totally wrong? Me, I'm living in Norway, and as different as it is, I see we still have something in common, interest in photography, interior, healthy food, our children and family ;) I Will follow your blog and take a peek in here from time to time:) Love your photos!

  6. Ahh that feeling that there is never enough of you to go 'round...I know it well. It gets easier as time goes on, it really does. But in the meantime, go easy on yourself. xx

  7. It's a new chapter in Eualie's life and one that has to happen. Learning to share is hard, but she will soon learn to fill the 'mummy gaps' with amazing things like self confidence, independence and character. x

  8. Having just come out the other side, I know that all encompassing mother guilt feeling all too well! But as you know, it's a passage of time, and one that will ease soon and you will find a lovely rhythm to give of yourself to each as they need it. Until then, be kind to yourself. As new mummas we tend to underestimate just how huge an adjustment period it is for us mere selves too! X

  13. Your images are so full heart. And my Dad constantly reminded me when Remy was born and I was feeling just as you are with Eulalie, "Stop thinking about what you might have taken away from her, and think of all that you have given her with this new sibling". These words seemed to help. Hope you have a beautiful, calm week :) xx

  14. It is an adjustment going from one to two children, a settling in period is needed for all, but I hope you will see a love that is better than any love you have ever know. The love between your own two children.
