Tasmania in pictures | Bruny Island
We spent a couple of days on Bruny Island, a spectacular part of the world that we'd definitely like to revisit one day and explore a little further. We didn't brave the water even though it looked so beautiful and inviting; those turquoise waves were too icy for us Queenslanders... even in mid-summer!
We stopped for freshly shucked oysters and then again a few meters down the road for artisan cheese (made on the island) and the most delicious wood fired baguettes. We sat around the campfire, slurping back beer and oysters and listening to waves and birdsong. It was a trip highlight for me, bettered only by our visit to Cradle Mountain (photos to come!).
