Cradle Mountain is a definite must-do for nature-lovers. There's plenty of walks to choose from; I highly recommend the Dove Lake Circuit if you are travelling with kids. Allow yourself half a day and take a packed picnic lunch to enjoy at one of the little beaches dotted around the waters edge.

Paddy carried Lalie in the Ergo some of the way, but she easily walked half of the way around by herself (there were plenty of shoulder rides, too!). Little Marguerite missed the whole thing - she was tucked away in the sling like a little joey where she slept for the entire time.

We were spoilt with an absolutely perfect day to enjoy the awe-inspiring scenery. Clear blue skies, warm sunshine and crisp, pure mountain air... Cradle Mountain, you were pretty hard to beat.

  8. Such gorgeous photos. We are in the middle of winter and one snow storm after the other here on the American east coast so I like seeing all your pictures of pretty green things :]

  9. It's such an amazing place, I've only ever been there with groups of school kids - definitely need to try sans teenagers one day. My brother proposed to my sister-in-law there!
